CLINICAL TEAM LEAD- (Band 8a) Wheelchair Services
Our Client has been established for over 25 years and has seen significant growth within the industry over recent years. Our Client is a leading industry expert which specialises in Community Equipment including; Pressure Care, Posture, Specialist Seating and Hoists into the NHS. Our Client is also very passionate in providing a first class service into the NHS and Local Authorities. This particular role will be working within the Wheelchair Services sector.
You will be providing Clinical Leadership and using your expertise to the Wheelchairs Clinical team. The team will come from backgrounds of Occupational Health, Physio Therapists and Rehabilitation Engineering. You will be working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best care for each individual with long-term illness and deteriorating medical conditions. You will be identifying training needs within the team in the following areas, posture and pressure care management. Being able to support and develop your team is essential and the ability to meet the Clinical and Non- Clinical standards of practice through annual appraisals and to meet the Professional Code of Conduct and Professional standards from the HCPC within your team. You will be working as a senior practitioner and legally responsible for all aspects of your own work and your team.
You will have experience working within a Wheelchair Service setting at Band 7 for 2 years and have at least 5 years post Registration experience in the Physical field working with patients with long- term and deteriorating Medical Conditions. You will have previous experience of Managing and Developing Senior and Junior staff as well as Students and Assistants and also carrying out annual Appraisals and Managing a budget. You will be seen as a role model to your team and motivate 7yourself and them during a pressured and stressful environment. It is essential you hold a diploma in Occupational Therapy or Physio Therapy and have a clear DBS check. You will possess a positive and Professional attitude and be able to organise your workload and be confident in the ability to assess and act against risks within the environment to service users which may be highly distressing. General risk assessments will also be completed regularly. Excellent communication skills are also essential in this role, both written and verbal as you will need to communicate regularly with other healthcare professionals, families and carers. You will have the knowledge and understanding of all Clinical policies and adhere to the Health and Safety policies and Clinical Procedures. A full clean driving licence is also required.
Salary- In line with NHS pay scales of Band 8a.
